The Head of State held a meeting with the judges of the Constitutional Court

On January 4, President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the composition of the Constitutional Court.

The Head of State noted that since the beginning of this year, the Constitutional Court has started to exercise its powers. It will ensure strict and consistent compliance with the norms of the Constitution. “I am confident that the activities of the Constitutional Court will make a huge contribution to the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens,” the President of the country emphasized.

The Chairman of the Constitutional Court Elvira Azimova informed about the main directions and tasks in the activities of the new body. She noted that the expansion of the list of subjects of appeal to the constitutional review body, in particular, the inclusion of citizens, should be considered as an integral part of the consistently implemented concept of the “Listening State”. “We will make every effort to justify the confidence placed in us, the expectations of the society and the requests of the State,” summed up the Chairman of the Constitutional Court.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan inspected the new administrative building of the Constitutional Court and talked with the appointed judges.
