The solemn meeting, devoted to the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On December 14, 2022, the Constitutional Council held a solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Opening the event, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council K. Mami emphasized that this day has a crucial significance for everyone. December 16, 1991, is the day when the new sovereign Republic of Kazakhstan was born. Today, the whole country is proud of common success. Kazakhstan has become an equal and respected member of the world community. The transformation of the Constitutional Council into the Constitutional Court, which will take place in the near future, is a new milestone in the development of the constitutional control body of Kazakhstan, the speaker noted.

On the eve of the state holiday, some of the staff members were awarded the departmental medal "Constitutionalyk zandylykty nygaituga koskan ulesi ushin" (for contribution to the strengthening of the constitutional legality).
