Meeting with the Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission

Chairman of the Constitutional Council K. Mami received the Head of the OSCE/ODIHR international mission to observe the presidential elections, Ms. Urszula Gacek.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council informed the interlocutor about the powers of the Constitutional Council in the electoral process, the constitutional reform being carried out in the country, as well as measures to transform the Constitutional Council into the Constitutional Court with the expansion of the list of subjects of appeal.

In turn, Ms. Gacek spoke about the priorities and principles of the Mission.

The parties stressed that the election of the President of the Republic is an important event, within which it is necessary to ensure compliance with constitutional principles and international standards.
