International short courses “Peace, Democracy and Elections”

On October 5-6, 2022 Acting Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Support and International Cooperation of the Office of the Constitutional Council Nigora Maripova participated in the International Short Course "Peace, Democracy and Elections" organized by the Secretariat of Planning and Coordination of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions in Indonesia.

Nigora Maripova made a presentation on the topic “Electoral right issues in the final decisions of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

The participants of the event - the delegations of Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Philippines listened to lectures by the judges of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia on the role of the constitutional court in ensuring social justice in the rule of law, and also shared the best practices of the constitutional review bodies of countries related to peace, democracy and elections.
