Kairat Mami congratulated on the of New Year

Chairman of the Constitutional Council K. Mami congratulated the staff of the Council on the New Year holiday. In his speech, he summarized the main results of the activities of the Constitutional Council, held in 2021.

In particular, the regular message of the Constitutional Council "On the state of constitutional legality in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was announced at a joint meeting of the chambers of the Parliament. Council members and staff took part in the development of the Concept of Legal Policy until 2030, approved by the President. For the past two years, we have chaired the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts. Currently, the Constitutional Council continues to preside over the Eurasian Association of Constitutional Control Bodies.

On the submissions of the President of the Republic and the Specialized interdistrict court for criminal cases of  Akmola region, the Constitutional Council considered the law of December 27, 2019 "On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on advocacy and legal assistance" and "On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on improving criminal, criminal procedure legislation and strengthening the protection of individual rights".

Two meetings of the Scientific Advisory Council under the Constitutional Council were held. An academic course in 2-volumes "Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was published, К. Мамi noted.

The work plan of the Constitutional Council for 2022, defining important tasks, was approved.
