CONFERENCE OF THE EAEU COURT

On November 17-19, 2021, the IV International Conference of the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union was held on the topic: “Ensuring the uniform application of the law of the Eurasian Economic Union: the role of the Court.”

At the forum, Member of the Constitutional Council, Victor Malinovskiy read out the welcoming speech of the Chairman of the Constitutional Council. In the address, Kairat Mami noted that interstate economic organizations are an important form of cooperation between subjects of international law. Today, our countries operate in the context of expanding integration within the framework of international and regional associations, including the Eurasian Economic Union. In these cases, it is important to ensure unconditional observance of the supremacy of the Constitution, maximum synchronization of domestic and integration legal regulation. In order to ensure the rule of law and the uniform understanding and application of the law of the Eurasian Economic Union, it is necessary to ensure close interaction between the EAEU Court and the national constitutional review bodies and judicial bodies. This interaction will help reduce potential risks, remove uncertainty and ensure consistency in the application of the law.

The event was attended by representatives of international organizations and judicial bodies, the Eurasian Economic Commission, authorities and judicial bodies of the EAEU member states, constitutional and supreme courts, other state bodies and the scientific community.
