CONGRATULATIONS OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation Sergey Mavrin sent congratulations on the occasion of the Constitution Day of the Republic and the International Symposium.

He noted that despite the difference in legal cultures and traditions, we are all united by the unconditional commitment to the ideals of democracy and the rule of law. These ideals and the inextricably linked human rights and freedoms are guaranteed by the Constitution, whose role in rapidly changing social relations and in the light of global challenges is of particular importance. The Constitutional Courts are entrusted with the most important task: to carry out, in accordance with their powers, the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, the legal protection of the Constitution, which means that the preservation of the ideals I have mentioned and ensuring their implementation in life largely depends on us.
