INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE "LEGAL DIALOGUES" PROJECT

On July 16, 2021, International webinar was held on the topic: “Legal service of the AIFC Court and the International Arbitration Centre: Privileges and Opportunities for the Legal Community.”

The event was organized by the Nursutan Nazarbayev Foundation in cooperation with the Astana International Financial Center and the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute within the framework of the Legal Dialogues project.

Addressing with a welcoming speech to the participants of the forum, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council Kairat Mami noted that the legal basis of the International Centre has been formed and today the Court and other structures of the Centre are solving serious problems. The special legal regime of the AIFC is designed to form an international center for financial services and apply the best standards in its activities. The AIFC becomes the leading body for alternative out-of-court dispute resolution in the Eurasian space. International Arbitration Centre, as an alternative to litigation, aims to provide an independent and prompt resolution of disputes.

The event was moderated by Igor Rogov. The Chairman of the Judicial Collegium for Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court Kanat Mussin, Vice Minister of Justice Azamat Amirgaliyev and Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Darkhan Bilyalov also addressed the forum participants with welcoming words.

The international webinar was attended by representatives of the Executive Office of the President, the Supreme Court, the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms, the Institute of Parliamentarism under the Presidential Administration, as well as the country's legal community and other organizations.
