A ROUND TABLE WAS HELD ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE LEGAL SYSTEM

On July 3, 2021, an International round table was held on the topic “Formation and Development of the Legal System of the Republic of Kazakhstan (National Traditions and Foreign Experience)”.

The event was organized by the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, the Astana International Financial Center and the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

In his welcoming speech, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council Kairat Mami acknowledges that today's forum is being held in the year of celebrating the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence. All major changes in the consistent construction of the legal system of a sovereign State were carried out in accordance with the current Constitution. He noted that everyone knows that the initiator of the Constitution is the First President of the Republic - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Today President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev directs the work of the State apparatus to increase the efficiency of legal policy and law enforcement system, summed up the Chairman of the Constitutional Council.

The Governor of the Astana International Financial Center Kairat Kelimbetov and the Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev also addressed the forum participants with welcoming words.

At the forum, member of the Constitutional Council Victor Malinovskiy made a report on the topic “New constitutional law - the basis for the construction and evolution of a modern state and a developed civil society in Kazakhstan.”

The round table was also attended by representatives of government agencies, the scientific legal community of the countries of near and far abroad.
