INTERNATIONAL FORUM: «NURSULTAN NAZARBAYEV – THE FOUNDER OF MODERN KAZAKHSTAN STATEHOOD»

On December 11, 2020, an online international round table was held on the theme: «Nursultan Nazarbayev - the founder of modern Kazakhstan statehood», dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic and the 30th anniversary of the country's Independence.
The forum is organized by the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, the Constitutional Council, the Astana International financial center (AIFC), the Abay Kazakh national pedagogical University, the Sorbonne Institute- Kazakhstan and the national volunteer movement «Accelerator of good: Izgilik elshisi».
In his welcoming speech, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council, K. Mami, noted that the first direct presidential elections were held on December 1, 1991. By the will of the people, N.A. Nazarbayev has the right to determine policy and conduct it on behalf of all Kazakhstan people.
All these years, the country has implemented large-scale reforms, which resulted in the formation and strengthening of the foundations of the new Kazakh statehood. The first President, thanks to his constitutional status and personal qualities, made a decisive contribution to the formation and development of sovereign Kazakhstan, K. Mami concluded.
Chairman of the Agency for strategic planning and reforms Kairat Kelimbetov, Minister of Justice Marat Beketayev, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuimebayev, President of the International Union of lawyers Andrey Trebkov and others also addressed the Forum participants with welcoming words.
A member of the Constitutional Council Viktor Malinovsky took part in the forum and made a presentation on the topic «The First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy – the constitutional value of independent Kazakhstan».
