MEETING WITH A DELEGATION OF THE OSCE / ODIHR LIMITED ELECTION OBSERVATION MISSION

On December 28, 2020, meeting with Ms. Martina Barker-Ciganikova, the Deputy Head of the OSCE / ODIHR Limited Election Observation Mission for the elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Constitutional Council.
The purpose of the Mission is to observe the elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for January 10, 2021, from the standpoint of compliance with OSCE commitments, as well as other international obligations and standards for democratic elections and national legislation.
During the meeting, A. Daulbaev, member of the Constitutional Council, informed the guests about the activities of the Kazakh constitutional adjudicatory body and its role in the electoral process.
Member of the Council I. Merkel and Secretary General B. Nurmukhanov also took part in the conversation.
In turn, the Deputy Head of Mission expressed her gratitude for the useful information about the electoral process and the activities of the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan.
