THE LEGACY OF ACADEMICIAN S. ZIMANOV

On February 19, 2021, an international scientific and practical online conference was held on the topic: "The writings of Salyk Zimanovich Zimanov - a source of political and legal thought of the modern era." The forum was organized by the Academy of Legal and Economic Research named after S. Zimanov of the M.S. Narikbayev KAZGUU University.

At the forum, member of the Constitutional Council Unzila Shapak read out the welcoming speech of the Chairman of the Constitutional Council Kairat Mami. It emphasizes the invaluable contribution of S.Z Zimanov to the development of legal science in the country and to the formation of the sphere of training qualified lawyers. The scientist, who devoted his adult life to a comprehensive study of the intricacies of jurisprudence and contributed to the development of branches of law, took a direct part in political life and made a huge input to the formation of the new statehood of independent Kazakhstan. The merits of Academician S.Z. Zimanov in the preparation of the Declaration of State Sovereignty, the first Constitution of an independent country and other important laws are invaluable, Kairat Mami stressed.

The forum was attended by heads of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the scientific legal community of countries, near and far abroad.
