XVIII CONGRESS OF THE CONFERENCE OF EUROPEAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURTS

On February 25, 2021, the XVIII Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts was held online on the topic "Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms: The Relationship of International, Supranational and National Catalogs in the XXI Century".

The Chairman of the Constitutional Council Kairat Mami sent a video greeting to the participants of the 18th Congress, in which he noted that the Conference of European Constitutional Courts has a rich history. For almost 50 years of its existence, the Conference has become a generally recognized platform for discussing and making decisions on topical issues of constitutional development. In cooperation with the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, with the active participation of members of the association, the Conference was at the origins of the constitutional doctrine’s formation for individual legal institutions.

The Chairman of the Constitutional Council congratulated the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic on its 100th anniversary and wished the Court's colleagues further success in the implementation of constitutional values.

Members of the Conference, observers and guests took part in the work of the Congress.
