K. MAMI MET WITH THE DEPUTY CHAIR OF THE HIGH COUNCIL FOR REFORMS SIR SUMA CHAKRABARTI

On March 1, 2021, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council Kairat Mami held a meeting with the Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Economic Development Sir Suma Chakrabarti and the Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC Christopher Campbell-Holt.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Constitutional Council briefed the guests on the activities of the Kazakh body of constitutional review, as well as the tasks set by the President of the Republic in the field of strengthening constitutional legality in the country.

Kairat Mami noted that the legal infrastructure of the AIFC, created by world-renowned lawyers, complements the modernization of Kazakhstan’s national legal system and enhances the effectiveness of its legal structures. In this way, we can also strengthen our relations with foreign partners, which ultimately have a positive impact on strengthening the rule of law in the country.

The discussion focused on the new approaches to reformatting the system of state planning and public administration, as well as increasing the efficiency of the law enforcement system, implemented within the framework of the Supreme Council for Reforms.

The Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre Kairat Kelimbetov also participated in the event and shared his views on the identified issues.

In conclusion, Kairat Mami wished the guests success in the implementation of all the plans.
