THE ISSUES OF IMPROVING THE MECHANISM OF REFERRAL OF CASES TO CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL BY ORDINARY COURTS

On April 2, 2021, an online conference was held entitled: “The three-tier model of criminal justice - a guarantee of the rights and freedoms of citizens.”

The forum was organized by the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Makan Esbulatov.

At the forum member of the Constitutional Council, Unzila Shapak made a presentation on the topic “The issue of improving the mechanism of referral of cases to Constitutional Council by ordinary courts with proposals to review the constitutionality of laws.”

The event was attended by deputies of the Senate of the Parliament, representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office, the Supreme Court, leading domestic and foreign scientists, experts, representatives of international organizations and law enforcement officials.
