HONORING VETERANS ON THE EVE OF THE GREAT VICTORY DAY

On the eve of the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory and Fatherland Defender's Day, the Constitutional Council paid tribute to the veterans and honored the memory of the heroes.

Employees of the Constitutional Council congratulated veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Elena Nikitichna Balkarova

Elena Balkarova was drafted to war at the age of 18 and was part of an automobile regiment. Despite her young age, she was a car driver at the front. Sleepless nights, long distances, all the hardships of wartime were on her own. She took part in the liberation of Ukraine, Belarus, Czechoslovakia and Poland. She was awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War of I and II degrees, the medal "For Victory over Germany", "For the liberation of Belarus" and jubilee medals.

The staff of the Constitutional Council once again bows before the unforgettable patriotism and courage of our heroes who gave us a peaceful life. We must always respect the traditions of peace, the culture of legitimacy and humanitarianism, as the Council sees it.
