Almaty Maslikhat Considers Vehicle Access to Specially Protected Areas in Light of the Constitutional Court’s Decision

Members of the Almaty Maslikhat supported a draft decision to restrict the entry of vehicles into the specially protected natural areas of Medeu Regional Nature Park and the Shymbulak Natural Area.

The decision was adopted taking into account the Constitutional Court’s ruling of 12 June 2026, in which the Court stated that regulation of this matter falls within the competence of the maslikhat and must be carried out with due regard for the rights of residents.
