The Constitutional Court has accepted for constitutional proceedings a petition seeking review of the constitutionality of subparagraph 3) of paragraph 2 of Article 26 of the Labour Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The applicant considers that the prohibition on engaging in teaching activities established by the contested provision is effectively lifelong and applies without regard to the category or degree of severity of the offence committed, which may affect the right to freedom of labour and the principle of equality.
The outcome of the proceedings will be published on the official website and Telegram channel of the Constitutional Court.
