From 1 to 5 June 2026, Geneva hosted a session of the Advisory Committee on Enforcement (ACE) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The Kazakh delegation included Constitutional Court Judge Yerkin Ongarbayev and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization and International Economic Organizations Kairat Torebayev.
It was emphasized that Kazakhstan continues to systematically strengthen its intellectual property protection framework in line with international standards. In this regard, particular importance is attached to the constitutional recognition of intellectual property protection, which reinforces the legal foundation for safeguarding the rights of authors, inventors, and other right holders.
The session addressed the implementation of digital tools in rights management, measures to enhance the transparency of procedures, and the further development of enforcement mechanisms, including the exchange of international best practices.
Kazakhstan’s participation in the session reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the constitutional framework for the protection of intellectual property as an essential prerequisite for innovation, sustainable economic development, and long-term growth.
