A Judge of the Constitutional Court visited Shymkent to explain the provisions of the Constitution

Judge of the Constitutional Court Aizhan Zhatkanbayeva delivered an outreach lecture at Mukhatar Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University in Shymkent.

The event was attended by faculty members, students, and master’s students of the university, as well as representatives of the regional legal community. In her speech, Aizhan Zhatkanbayeva outlined the key areas of the constitutional reform, its substance, and expected outcomes, emphasizing the importance of these changes for strengthening guarantees of citizens’ rights and freedoms.

As part of the meeting, Constitutional Court analyst Aliya Berdibayeva also spoke, presenting information on the activities of the constitutional review body and the procedure for citizens to submit applications.

In addition, representatives of the Constitutional Court took part in an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 60th anniversary of renowned legal scholar Kairat Bitemirov, who has made a significant contribution to the development of legal science and education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
