On the eve of World Children's Day, Roman Podoprigora, judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, conducted a tour for students of the Astana Economic Lyceum.

The participants learned about the history and activities of the Constitutional Court, the significance of the Basic Law, and its role in protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.

Of particular interest were real-life examples from the practice of the constitutional control body, which clearly demonstrate the application of constitutional principles in various legal situations.

The young guests actively asked questions about the professions of lawyer and judge, showing a sincere interest in the specifics of the legal process and the mechanisms that ensure justice and order in society.

The discussion took place in an open atmosphere, and the students showed a desire to continue studying the laws of their country and to seek answers to current legal issues in them.

Summing up the tour, Constitutional Court Judge Roman Podoprygora noted that the Constitutional Court will continue to protect the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as promote knowledge about the Constitution, the principles of modern law, and the importance of observing the rule of law in the country.

World Children's Day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954. It is celebrated on November 20 as a day of global brotherhood and mutual understanding among children, dedicated to activities aimed at ensuring the well-being of children around the world.

On this day in 1959, the General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, and in 1989, the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Since 1990, World Children's Day has marked the anniversary of the adoption of these fundamental documents in the field of child rights protection.
