Effective public communication is a cornerstone of success in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population

Today the Chairman of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee Nurkan Sadvakasov met with Professor of the Graduate School of Public Policy of Nazarbayev University Lisa Lim.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of establishing communication with society in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population.

Zhassulan Alpysbayev, Head of the SECC Public Relations Department, presented the experience of the Committee in the field of communication with individuals and legal entities, with territorial bodies, the media and other interested parties. The main goal of communication in the field of sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population is to attract the attention of citizens to the problems of maintaining and strengthening their health, as well as to increase the level of awareness and medical literacy of the population in matters of prevention and early diagnosis of diseases. In this regard, a number of works are being carried out to inform the population and establish communication with citizens through various means of communication (websites, e-Gov, e-Otinish portals, social networks, etc.).

As Professor Lim noted, regions and settlements differ from each other in terms of the age share of the population, in terms of material and technical equipment, and in terms of education level, so it is important to form a differentiated system of communication with the population, taking into account these factors.

This proposal was supported by the head of the Committee, who also stressed the importance of studying the issues of prompt response to citizens' appeals.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the prospects for further cooperation through joint scientific research in the field of communication with the population, advanced training of press service employees, cooperation in the field of microbiology, etc.
