A public hearing was held on the application of JSC "Intergas Central Asia".

Today, on October 28, 2021, at a public hearing, the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan considered the draft tariff and tariff estimate of JSC "Intergas Central Asia" for services of transportation of commercial gas through the main gas pipelines of the Republic of Kazakhstan and storage of commercial gas in underground gas storages for 2022-2026.

Taking into account the epidemiological situation in the country, all interested persons took part in the public hearing online.

Deputy Chairman of the Tariff Department Akan Tashpanov presided at the public hearing.

Akan Tashpanov welcomed all the participants of the hearing and familiarized them with the procedure for holding a public hearing, and also noted the need to actively express their suggestions and comments on the draft tariff and tariff estimates of the estimates of JSC "Intergas Central Asia".

 "Ensuring transparency, awareness, maintaining the balance of interests of consumers and natural monopolies, transparency of the application review procedure is the purpose of holding public hearings," Akan Tashpanov said.

Then the Deputy Director of the Department of Budget Planning and Tariff Formation of JSC "Intergas Central Asia", Azamat Urinbayev, made a report.

"The current tariff of JSC "Intergas Central Asia" for the transportation of commercial gas through the main gas pipelines of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the storage of commercial gas in underground gas storage facilities was approved for 2016-2021. Due to the expiration of the validity period, Intergas Central Asia JSC has submitted an application to the DCRNM for approval of a new tariff and tariff estimate for 2022-2026," Azamat Urinbayev said during his speech.

Then the participants of the public hearing asked interesting questions concerning the tariff projects and the tariff estimate of the subject.

In conclusion, the Deputy Head of the Tariff Department, thanking everyone for their participation and active expression of proposals, noted that the final decision will be made based on the results of consideration of the application of JSC "Intergas Central Asia" in the terms and procedure established by the legislation on natural monopolies.

The Committee recalls that it always takes into account the opinions of participants in a public hearing and tries to maintain a balance of interests between consumers and the subject when making a final decision.
