An administrative case has been initiated against the parent company of “KazTransGazAimak” JSC

The Committee on Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has initiated an administrative case against “KazTransGas Aimak” JSC.

It all started with the fact that the CRNM received appeals from individuals and legal entities, on the basis of which an unscheduled check was carried out for the application of prices for retail sales of commercial gas to consumers of the Kyzylorda region.

As a result of the audit, a violation of the requirements of subparagraph 6) of Article 124-8 of the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan was revealed, namely, in terms of non-return to consumers of income received as a result of unjustified excess of the marginal price.

Namely, “KazTransGas Aimak” JSC received an unjustified income in the amount of 885.06 million tenge as a result of an unjustified excess of the marginal price.

For example, administrative proceedings were initiated against “KazTransGas Aimak” JSC under part 4 of Article 166 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses and an order was made to fulfill the obligations provided for by the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the requirement to return unreasonably received income in the amount of 885.06 million tenge directly to consumers or by reducing the level of the marginal price.

At the same time, “KazTransGas Aimak” JSC, in accordance with the current legislation, has the right to appeal the response measures taken by the Committee.
