Electricity and heating tariffs will be reduced in Almaty

From February 1. 2021. electricity and heat supply will become cheaper in Almaty, the city department of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.

The tariff for electricity supply will decrease:

- for the population by 1.5 % - from 17.12 to 16.86 tg / kWh without VAT;

- for legal entities by 1.2 % - from 18.47 to 18.25 tg / kWh without VAT.

Savings for individuals will amount to 554 million tenge, for legal entities-820 million tenge. The reduction was achieved by reducing tariffs for transmission and balancing of electricity, providing power.

The payment for heat supply for the population will be reduced by 3 %. The reason is the growth of the volume of services provided. The savings for the population will amount to 552 million tenge.

Earlier it was reported that from January 1, a planned increase in the tariff for heat supply was expected by 14 %. However, DCRNM has carried out work to prevent price increases.
