Results of inspections of JSC "Caspian NEFT"

Inspectors of the Atyrau Department of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted an inspection of hazardous production facilities of JSC "Caspian Oil" located at the Ayrankol field in the Zhylyoy district of Atyrau region.

Caspian Oil is one of the leading oil producing companies operating in the Caspian region, which since 1997 has been engaged in a comprehensive study of the subsoil, search, exploration and production of hydrocarbon raw materials on the allocated area, storage and export sale of commercial oil. Since its foundation, the company has been conducting prospecting and exploration work in accordance with a license and contract with the competent authority of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the past years, the company has completed exploration with an assessment of commercial oil reserves and trial operation of the Ayrankol multi-layer oil field located on the territory of the Zhylyoy district of the Atyrau region of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the results of the audit, violations of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of industrial safety were revealed. The inspectors have drawn up instructions on the elimination of the detected violations and initiated cases of administrative offenses under the first part of Article 298 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
