The results of the inspection of Zhezkazgan processing plants No. 1,2,3 of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP

Inspectors of the Karaganda Department of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted an inspection of Zhezkazgan processing Plants No. 1, 2, 3 of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP in the period from August 18 to September 6 of this year.

The activity of Zhezkazgan processing plants is the processing of ore by crushing, grinding, classification, foam flotation, as well as the production of copper concentrate. Zhezkazgan processing plants are divided into 5 main and 5 auxiliary sites. The total number of employees, including those employed in hazardous industries, is more than 1,800 people.

During the inspection, all sections of the Zhezkazgan processing plants No. 1, 2, 3 were examined, violations of industrial safety requirements were revealed . The inspectors drew up instructions on the elimination of the detected violations and initiated cases of administrative offenses under the first part of article 298 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
