The results of the inspection of the Saranskaya mine of the Coal Department of the Joint-Stock Company ArcelorMittal Temirtau

The inspection staff of the Karaganda Department of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted an inspection of the Saranskaya mine of the Coal Department of the Joint-Stock Company ArcelorMittal Temirtau in the period from July 19 to August 9 of this year.

According to the results of the inspection, 234 violations of industrial safety requirements were revealed. The main part of violations falls on the maintenance and untimely repair of mine workings, the operation of belt conveyors, diesel-hydraulic locomotives "Ferrite", the operation of electrical equipment and the state of fire protection.

The inspectors drew up instructions on the elimination of the detected violations and initiated cases of administrative offenses under the first part of article 298 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. For gross violations of industrial safety requirements that pose a threat to human life and health, the Department sent a statement of claim to the Specialized Interdistrict Economic Court of the Karaganda region to suspend the operation of the diesel-hydraulic locomotive LSP 70(Ferrite No. 2) and electric locomotive rollback along the 5th eastern field pumping drift of the K6 formation.
