The result of the inspection of the Zhilandinsky mine by Kazakhmys Corporation LLP

By the decision of the Satpayevsky City Court of the Karaganda region dated August 11 of this year No. 3523-21-00-3/511, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP was brought to administrative responsibility under the third part of Article 462 of the Code of Administrative Offenses in the amount of 1 million 458 thousand 500 tenge for non-compliance with the previously issued Order to eliminate the detected violations of the Department of the Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Karaganda region.

We remind you that in the first quarter of this year, the inspectors of the Karaganda Department conducted a special inspection of the Zhilandinsky mine of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP. According to the results of the inspection, 504 violations of industrial safety requirements were revealed (269 gross, 225 significant, and 10 minor).

In the period from July 1 to July 15 of this year, an unscheduled inspection was carried out to control the execution of the previously issued Order, during which it was found that out of 504 points of violations, 34 points of violations were not eliminated.
