Healthcare development: financing, medical infrastructure, provision of medicines

The development of the healthcare system in Kostanay region remains one of the key areas of work. In 2025, more than 110 billion tenge was allocated for the healthcare sector, which exceeds the level of the previous year. These funds are used to strengthen the material and technical base of medical institutions, increase the availability of medical care in rural areas, provide medicines and attract specialists.

Updating medical equipment

To improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment of patients, systematic work is being carried out to equip medical institutions with modern equipment. This year, 7 billion tenge has been allocated for these purposes, which is almost twice the amount of funding last year.

Development of rural medicine

Special attention is paid to improving the availability of medical services in rural areas. Within the framework of the national project "Modernization of rural healthcare", 25 new medical facilities have been built in the villages of the region over the past two years, including:
• 5 outpatient clinics,
• 19 paramedic and obstetric stations,
• 1 medical center.

In addition, a network of pharmacy points is actively developing in rural areas. Over the past two years, 324 pharmacies have been opened where residents can receive free medicines.

Provision of medicines to the population

Constant monitoring and control of supplies is carried out for the uninterrupted supply of medicines to medical institutions and residents of the region. There are 405 pharmacy points at medical institutions in the region, as well as a pharmacy warehouse for storing vaccines.

Additionally, in 2025, 556 million tenge was allocated from the budget for the purchase of vital drugs for patients with rare diseases. The work on providing medicines is carried out in close cooperation with SK-Pharmacy within the framework of the social health insurance system.

Attracting medical personnel

To strengthen the human resources potential of the region, 345 doctors arrived in the region in 2024, who received lifting allowances totaling 527.5 million tenge. At least 200 more specialists are expected to arrive in 2025.

A systematic approach to healthcare development

The development of the healthcare system in Kostanay region continues. Work is underway to increase the availability and quality of medical care, modernize medical institutions and provide medicines to the population. All these measures are aimed at creating comfortable conditions for receiving medical services, regardless of the place of residence of citizens.
