Kostanay region is ready for the heating season

Preparation for the 2018-2019 heating season was the main topic of discussion at the meeting with the participation of the Akim of the Kostanay region Archimed Mukhambetov. According to the head of the Energy and Housing and Communal Services Department Almat Issenbayev, preparation of the Kostanay region for work in the 2018-2019 autumn-winter period is coming to the end.

“To date, all available boiler-houses in the amount of 102 units, 741 autonomous heating systems have been prepared for the winter. Repair work plans on heat networks have been fulfilled: 20 km have been repaired, on the water supply and sewerage networks - 115 km have been repaired”, the head of the Department said. “All the social facilities of the region have been prepared - this is 754 educational facilities, 508 health facilities, 720 social facilities. 2,443 multi-storey residential buildings have been also prepared.” During the spring-autumn hydraulic tests, disruptions of heat networks were identified, but all of them, as assured in the Department, have been eliminated during the repair campaign by August 1 of this year. Heating in the region is planned to be connected according to the plan, when the average daily air temperature is below + 10°C for 3 days. Currently, the average daily air temperature is kept at +13°C.

“Upon setting the temperature of the outside air below +10°C for 3 days, Akims of cities and districts should launch the district heating supply systems with the primary connection of educational, health and social facilities”, A. Issenbayev instructed. In conclusion, Akim of the region A. Mukhambetov instructed to keep the issue under special control. “We have been preparing for five months, set up a headquarters for this purpose. In general, the work was carried out in all directions. I remind all Akims of districts and cities about the responsibility for launching the heating systems, for the stable supply of heat to the population. Disruptions will be responded in person. The duration of the heating season is 214 days in our region, in some regions - 60 days, this is a big responsibility. We must work hard from the first day through the last one”, the head of the region concluded.
