At today's meeting of the Akimat of Kostanay region, chaired by Akim Kumar Aksakalov, important issues related to agriculture and ecology were considered.
Agriculture: successful results and new challenges
The harvest in the region has come to an end, and, according to preliminary data, the total volume of grain is about 6 million tons, which is 2.1 million tons more than last year. The average yield increased by 5 centners per hectare, thanks to state support in the form of 175 billion tenge.
An important area remains the increase in the volume of mineral fertilizers. Farmers need to actively use state support to increase productivity and maintain soil fertility. Work is ahead to diversify crops and introduce new technologies.
Ecology: waste management and environmental protection
The region continues to work to improve the environmental situation. This year, 10.9 billion tenge have been allocated for environmental protection measures, which is 39.7% more than last year. However, the problem of unauthorized dumps remains, requiring the active participation of the population and businesses.
Measures are also planned to introduce an automated system for monitoring emissions and reclaiming contaminated areas. The Taza Kazakhstan program continues to be implemented, and this year, 326 parks have been improved and 196 dumps have been eliminated.
