A significant event took place in Kostanay today — the opening of a new modern Medical center in the Airport microdistrict.
This is an important step in the development of healthcare infrastructure in the city and the region as a whole.
During the current year, financing of the healthcare sector amounted to more than 109 billion tenge, which is 1.7% more than last year. Special attention is paid to attracting qualified medical personnel. Since the beginning of the year, about 200 specialists from other regions of Kazakhstan have arrived in the region, including more than 100 experienced doctors, which is significantly higher than last year.
Today, there are more than 450 medical organizations in the region, most of which are located in Kostanay. Work on expanding the network of medical institutions continues in rural areas. 25 primary health care facilities (FAPs and outpatient clinics) are under construction, of which 6 have already been completed.
New neighborhoods of the city, such as Yubileyny, Bereke, Airport and Kunai, need polyclinics and medical centers. The construction of a polyclinic for 250 visits per day in the Yubileyny microdistrict has already begun, which will also serve the Bereke microdistrict. There are also plans to build a polyclinic in the Airport microdistrict, which will become popular among its residents.
The cost of building a new Medical center amounted to 1 billion tenge, and 450 million tenge was spent on the purchase of modern medical equipment. The center has created 40 jobs, including 18 for doctors. The new medical center will facilitate the access of residents of the Airport microdistrict to high-quality medical services and will become an important element of the region's healthcare system.
Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov congratulated the staff of the center and wished them health, success and prosperity.
