As part of a working trip to Karabalyk district, Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov got acquainted with the implementation of key social projects aimed at improving living conditions in the region. The objects of the visit were a modern sports and recreation complex and the renovated Ortalyk stadium.

The Head of State pays special attention to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the development of mass sports. To solve this important task, the necessary measures are being taken in the region, first of all, the sports infrastructure is being created.

The sports and recreation complex is a modern building equipped with the latest sports equipment and training halls. More than 1.3 billion tenge has been allocated for its construction, the total area of the building is 3.4 thousand square meters. This place will become a center of attraction for fans of sports and an active lifestyle.

Wrestling, volleyball, basketball, football, table tennis, asyk ata, and chess will be opened in the sports complex.

In addition, board games for people with disabilities and wellness classes with elderly people will be available.  The opening of the complex demonstrates the desire of the region to create conditions for maintaining health and physical activity among the population.

One of the completed facilities is the Ortalyk sports Stadium in the Karabalyk district. 876 million tenge was allocated for its construction. The restoration of the stadium made it possible to create even more comfortable conditions for the residents of Karabalyk to practice sports. The stadium, built several decades ago, is now ready to host sporting events of various scales again. It is equipped with a football field, running tracks and playgrounds for playing sports. The stadium is intended to become a venue for district and inter-district competitions, as well as a training base for local athletes.

During the visit, the mayor also met with residents of the Karabalyk district. During the meeting, topical issues and prospects for the development of the region were discussed. Kumar Aksakalov stressed that the joint efforts of government agencies and the population are a key factor for the successful development of rural areas.

At the end of the visit, the akim of Kostanay region took part in the opening ceremony of the regional Spartakiad, giving a start to the start of the competition.
