The harvesting campaign in the Kostanay region is planned to finish in the next 2 days. The Akim of the region Archimed Mukhambetov informed today during an expanded meeting. “We are finishing the harvesting campaign. As of today, about 10 thousand hectares of grains and 80 thousand hectares of oilseeds need to be harvested. In about 2 days, we will officially finish the harvesting campaign”, the head of the region said.

It is worth noting that this year the region’s grain farmer began harvesting later than planned. The weather conditions of this season were not easy. This year, 89% of the area of ​​grain crops is sown using conditioned seeds of higher reproductions (elite, first, second and third reproductions, in 2017 - 79%), 93% of which are seeds of 1 and 2 classes. More than 9.6 thousand combine harvesters, including 3 thousand highly productive, 23 thousand tractors will take part in the harvesting this year. 3 thousand windrowers, about 8 thousand trucks, 19 thousand tractor trailers and other equipment will be involved. It is to be recalled that it is planned to collect 5 million tons of grain in the Kostanay region this year. In 2017, 5.2 million tons of grain were harvested.
