A memorandum on the construction of a plant for deep processing of wheat in Kostanay was signed

Astana, July 2, 2024 – Within the framework of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council with the participation of Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the KazFoodProducts group of companies and the Chinese company Myande Group.
The agreement provides for the construction of a modern plant for deep processing of wheat in Kostanay. The capacity of the new enterprise will amount to 400 thousand tons of deep processing of wheat per year.
The plant will produce:
Lysine is an essential amino acid used in animal husbandry and medicine;
Wheat gluten is an important component of the bakery industry;
Bioethanol is an alternative fuel and raw material for the chemical industry;
Gluten is a sought–after component of the food industry.
"The Head of State set a task to increase the share of processed products in the agro–industrial complex to 70% within three years," said Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov. "The implementation of this project will significantly increase the volume of grain processing, create new jobs and become a catalyst for further development of the agro-industrial complex of the region."
The construction of the plant will be an important step towards achieving the goals set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the development of the agro-industrial complex and increasing the competitiveness of the Kazakh economy.
