Akim of the Kostanay region congratulates agricultural workers on a professional holiday

Kostanay hold a special event in celebration of the Day of workers of the processing industry and agriculture. Akim of the region Arсhimed Mukhambetov congratulated agricultural workers and presented them awards. The akim expressed his gratitude to farm workers for contribution to successful completion of harvesting, which resulted in more than 5 million tons of grain collected in the region despite adverse weather conditions. Besides, the akim planned the main directions of work for development of the agroindustrial complex of the region.

“I want to inform you on our further development policy and on what we will mainly focus on. As you know, currently we digitalize the sector, introduce smart factories and farms, support digitization of fields and take many other actions. All these activities are our major priorities for the near future”, noted the akim, “Besides, we create several clusters – meat, dairy. For example, in a few days we will open a large meat processing plant in Arkalyk. Canned food will also be produced here.” In addition, the focus will be on creating an agricultural hub, which is carried out by the company ”Bio Grain”, the plant for advanced grain processing. Today, lots of achievements in the field of agriculture over these years have been mentioned. The agrarians of the region are faced with the objective of increasing the labour productivity in agriculture and the export of processed agricultural products by 2.5 times.

The akim of the region congratulated all gathered agrarians on a professional holiday, presented them awards “Auyl sharuashylyk salasyndagy uzdigi” (the Best Worker in the Sphere of Agriculture), “Enbek ardageri” (Veteran of Labour) and “Kurmet ardageri” (Honoured Veteran) and also handed them certificates of honour of the Minister of Agriculture.
