Kostanay oblast actively attracts investments to the region

This was announced by akim of the oblast Arkhimed Mukhambetov at the press conference of the Central Communications Service held in Astana.

“The regional economy has already been invested with 166.1 billion tenge with a growth of 10.6%, - the akim informed, - herewith foreign investments were 1.8 times more than in the same period last year”.

In general, the development of the regional economy is associated with the implementation of investment projects. A total of 40 projects are being worked out for a total amount of 2.2 trillion tenge, including 13 projects with foreign companies with a total of 1.4 trillion tenge.

The head of the region said that these projects will be mainly implemented on the newly created “industrial zone”, for which the oblast is creating the necessary infrastructure. At the same time there is a work underway to fill it. Today, it is planned to place on its territory 11 projects for 1.2 trillion tenge, creating more than 2 thousand jobs.

There is already an assembly workshop, which houses the production of “Belarus” tractors and refrigeration systems built for the Russian investor Holding “Composite Group” on the territory of the “industrial zone”. Taking into account the further expansion and increase of the localization level, the amount of investments in the project will be about 15 billion tenge, capacity - 3000 tractors per year.

It is worth noting that the "Kostanay Invest" investment forum was held in the region for the second year in a row, which reveals investment opportunities and the export potential of the region. This year the forum was attended by representatives of 9 countries, 19 memorandums of cooperation were signed, worth more than 251 billion tenge, including with Hangteng Auto Co. Ltd. (organization of car manufacturing in the Kostanay oblast), Bio Grain LLP (a modern crop processing complex), the Composite Group Holding (organization of Belarus tractors manufacturing on the territory of Industrial Zone of Kostanay), etc.
