43.7% of those affected by floods in the Kostanay region were provided with new housing instead of the lost one

In the Kostanay region, assistance to flood victims continues. Today, 74 families of the Kostanay region, whose house could not be restored, received new housing.
Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov visited the new settlers to find out how they were settling in.
“On behalf of the Head of State, comprehensive assistance is provided to all victims,” noted akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov. “The state is providing unprecedented support measures: damage is compensated, social assistance is paid, houses are restored, and where it is impossible to restore, new ones are built.”
In addition to housewarming, the affected families of the Kostanay region received compensation for lost property and social assistance. The total amount of payments amounted to 191.3 million tenge.
In all houses that are subject to restoration, repair work is already in full swing. It is planned that repair work in houses subject to restoration will be completed by June 15 of this year, and construction of new houses by the end of summer.
In addition, at the expense of the public fund "Kazakhstan Khalkyna", the construction of 88 individual residential buildings has begun in the Kostanay, Amangeldinsky and Dzhangeldinsky districts of the region.
The BAZIS-A company began construction of a 50-apartment residential building in Arkalyk. Apartments will be provided to the affected residents of Arkalyk, Amangeldinsky and Dzhangeldinsky districts.
It is also planned to build 15 houses in the microdistrict for the affected residents. Kunay Kostanay, 8 of them have already been started.
The state offers two ways to compensate for damage: build a new house or buy a ready-made apartment on the secondary market.
According to the damage assessment commission, 475 houses in the Kostanay region cannot be restored. At the moment, 208 residents have been provided with new housing, which is 43.7% of the victims. The apartments will be transferred to the ownership of residents.
