Large businessmen will restore housing for those affected by floods in Kostanay region
Representatives of large businesses are ready to assist in eliminating the consequences of floods in the Kostanay region. Among them is the founder of the ADD Capital holding Daniyar Abulgazin , member of the board of directors of ERG Shukhrat Ibragimov, chairman of the board of directors of Allur and AgromashHolding companies Andrey Lavrentyev, as well as chairman of the board of RG Brands Timur Kaltaev . Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev briefed them on the scope of the upcoming restoration work .
In Kostanay , Arkalyk, Amangeldinsky , Dzhangeldinsky , Karasu and Kostanay regions, a local emergency situation still exists. There are 160 people in evacuation centers. During the meeting with citizens, Kanat Bozumbayev explained the procedure for compensation for damage, including for flooded dachas (the only housing).
“Concerns are expressed on social networks about the safety of the funds that big businesses are using to restore housing for the victims. I want to responsibly say that the funds will mainly be spent by businesses themselves. They will purchase housing for the victims, build or repair it,” the Deputy Prime Minister explained.
Kanat Bozumbayev specifically focused on the issues of payment of compensation and financial assistance. Over 3 thousand applications for one-time payments were received from residents of the Kostanay region. Financial assistance has already been provided to almost 2 thousand families in the amount of 705.2 million tenge.
“The payment of 100 MCI to all victims is the responsibility of akimats and maslikhats . They determine what amount, to whom and how to pay. We understand that the problems are the same throughout the country, so the Operational Headquarters recommended that 100 MCI be paid to everyone,” noted Kanat Bozumbayev .
Flood victims also have the right to compensation for lost or damaged property up to 150 MCI. The list of such property includes: items for storing and preparing food, items of furniture for eating, items of furniture for sleeping, items of means of informing citizens, items of water supply and heating.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed special commissions to complete all work to assess damage from floods by May 10.
Meanwhile, residents of the Kostanay region have already begun to be given apartments in one of the new multi-storey buildings. To date, the district akimat has concluded about 30 contracts for the provision of housing. The Ayala Foundation of businessman Daniyar provides assistance to residents Abulgazina . The entrepreneur will purchase apartments for 65 families in the Kostanay region and the city of Arkalyk for 1.5 billion tenge from personal funds and will direct another 500 million to the Demeu fund .

Before the onset of cold weather, local authorities must provide housing for all those left homeless. In this akimat Kostanay region will be helped by large entrepreneurs who will purchase and build 378 houses, and renovate another 638 houses.
“In difficult times for the country, no one should remain on the sidelines. There are several of our enterprises in the Kostanay region. Our employees took an active part in the fight against the elements. Helped with the emergency evacuation of villagers from the flood zone, including children. Our special equipment was sent to villages near Arkalyk to build dams. For those who are left homeless, we will purchase ready-made housing,” said Shukhrat Ibragimov, a representative of the ERG company.
Note that the founding shareholders of Eurasian Resources Group allocated 400 million in the first days of the flood, and then another 40 billion tenge to eliminate the consequences of the disaster and support residents. These funds are also planned to be used to reconstruct road and engineering infrastructure, as well as schools in the Kostanay region.
Entrepreneur Andrey Lavrentiev said that he will send 3 billion tenge to the region. This amount will go towards the construction of 140 houses or the purchase of 96 apartments, as well as the renovation of 400 houses. Previously, his companies transferred 500 million tenge to the Demeu corporate fund Kazakhstan kory " to fight the elements.
“Difficult times bring people together. As soon as high water came to Kostanay , more than a thousand of our employees, together with employees of the akimat and special services, began strengthening dams and helping people at distribution points. This is our home region, all our enterprises are located here. The allocated funds will be used to purchase apartments and build houses. We responded to the call of the Head of State, and I think that we will definitely do this work together with the Government,” said Andrei Lavrentyev.
In turn, RG Brands will also allocate 1.46 billion tenge for the construction and renovation of housing in the Kostanay region.
In addition, 405 million tenge was transferred from the reserve of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purchase of houses for victims of the flood in Arkalyk.
