Kostanay region is one of the first in the republic to pay compensation to owners of dead livestock

Local executive bodies are taking all necessary measures to eliminate the consequences of floods, including assistance to owners of dead livestock.

Kostanay region became one of the first regions in the republic that began paying compensation to owners of farm animals that died as a result of the flood.

To date, payments have already been made for 780 heads of livestock for a total amount of more than 102 million tenge. The payment process is carried out in accordance with the algorithm developed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In regions where a state of emergency has been declared due to floods, special commissions operate to assess damage, including damage to dead livestock. The commissions include specialists from the district veterinary service who go to incident sites to determine the number of dead livestock and organize their disposal.

The commissions also help collect the necessary documents for filing claims for damages.

Local authorities encourage owners of livestock and farms to contact local executive bodies to receive payments and compensation for dead livestock.

Acceptance of applications and payments continues.
