In Kostanay region, work is underway to repair damage and pay compensation to flood victims

The Head of State instructed to provide all necessary assistance to the victims.
"None of you will be left without the attention of the state, all of you will be provided with financial and other necessary assistance, all your material losses will be compensated," Kassym—Jomart Tokayev said.
The local executive bodies of Kostanay region are taking all necessary measures to implement this instruction. Work has been organized to eliminate the consequences of floods, including assistance to victims in restoring property.
353 houses were surveyed, of which 159 are subject to restoration. After assessing the damage to these houses, an appropriate amount will be paid. New housing will be provided for 194 houses that cannot be restored.
Compensation for dead cattle is a significant area of assistance, especially for residents of the southern regions. Damage compensation payments are made after the assessment work. At the moment, reports on the assessment of 214 cattle are ready, for which payments have already begun. In total, 951 cattle died as a result of the flood.
Work on social support for the affected population began from the first days of the flood. To date, 1,345 applications have been submitted for a one-time social payment. According to 715 applications, 166 million tenge was paid. Applications are being accepted and payments are ongoing.
