NO MAJOR FLOODING HAS BEEN ALLOWED IN KOSTANAY REGION

The flood in Kostanay region is on the decline. It should be noted that large settlements and cities have not gone under water.
Out of 492 settlements, only 10 settlements were affected during the entire flood period.
To date, 161 private residential buildings remain flooded in six settlements of Karasu, Kostanay districts and Kostanay city.
It was possible to minimize the risks of flooding thanks to the coordinated actions of emergency workers, local executive bodies, volunteers and thousands of volunteer assistants from among the residents.
In the cities of Kostanay, Tobyl, settlements of Kostanay, Mendykarinsky, Karasu districts, measures are still being carried out for the safe passage of floods, including shore protection works, embankment, laying out sandbags. The population has been evacuated from dangerous areas in advance.
At the moment, the region has been evacuated
9099 people along the Tobol River and the river.Tuntyugur, 441 people are in temporary accommodation, the rest are accommodated by relatives. All necessary conditions have been created in temporary accommodation facilities. Three meals a day were organized, all the first necessities were provided (personal hygiene products, drinking water, medicines, etc.).
During the flood period, about 836.3 thousand m3 of water were pumped out. 94.9 thousand sandbags were harvested and laid. 7,651 tons of inert materials were poured out.
Volunteer detachments were formed and involved in all regions of the region. About 3,000 volunteers have been involved in the region, who are actively involved in flood control measures, in evacuations of the population, and in the distribution of humanitarian aid.
Specially created commissions continue to work on assessing the damage caused. According to the results of this assessment, all victims will be fully compensated.
