Residents of the Zhangeldinsky district of Kostanay region, affected by floods, return to their homes

In the south of Kostanay region, flood-affected villagers are returning home.

Residents of three villages of the Zhangeldinsky district (Taush, Kolkamys, Aralbai) left evacuation centers. They were taken home by helicopter.

Four more families from the village of Tentexai are now in the village of Zharkol. The local authorities have allocated houses for them to live in, providing them with everything they need.

In total, more than 600 people who lived in evacuation centers in the village of Torgai returned to their villages. The evacuation points have already been closed.

Local authorities delivered humanitarian aid to the residents of these villages by helicopter: basic necessities, food, clothing. This assistance will be delivered to the villages regularly, until the restoration of transport links.

In addition, a damage assessment commission is working in the region. To date, 58 applications for compensation for harm (damage) have been accepted in the Dzhangeldy district.

Additionally, social assistance payments in the amount of 50 MCI are being made: as of April 8, social assistance was paid to 32 victims in the amount of 5.9 million tenge.

The work of the commission continues.

In general, it should be noted that the situation in the region has stabilized.
