Today, a meeting of the regional akimat was held under the chairmanship of Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov.
During the meeting, the results of the socio-economic development of the region in the first two months of the year, as well as issues of the development of the transport and logistics system of the region were discussed.
The Head of State pays special attention to the development of the country's transport and logistics industry, which should become one of the engines of economic development. The President also identified a strategic task in this direction – to turn the country into a full-fledged transport and logistics center of Eurasia.
"Our region will play one of the key roles in this process due to its favorable economic and geographical location and the presence of a large transit potential," Kumar Aksakalov said.
The most important role in achieving the set goals is played by the high quality of roads. The financing of this industry is growing every year. This year, 71.0 billion tenge is provided for the road industry, which is 22% more than last year. It is planned to repair about 1300 km of public roads and 364 sections of streets of settlements.
"We continue to implement the plan for 2023-2025 for the repair of 3 thousand km of public roads in accordance with the developed plan, which details the repair of streets in each village of the region," the governor of the region summed up.
As a result, by the end of 2025, the share of local roads in good and satisfactory condition in the region will amount to 95%, in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State.
