Family Sports Day

As part of the decade of Nauryz celebrations, Kostanay celebrated the Day of Family Sports. Sport not only unites families and fans of an active lifestyle, but also glorifies Kazakhstan for the whole world thanks to the high achievements of our athletes.
As Akim of Kostanay region K.Aksakalov noted, new sports facilities are being built in our region for the development of mass sports. Of the planned 10 FOCS, 3 have already been completed last year, the rest will be commissioned this year. In total, 21.9 billion tenge has been allocated for the development of sports in 2024. It is planned to create sports clusters, including stadiums, foxes and indoor hockey courts.
"Our task is to develop Olympic sports. To this end, the Regional Winter Sports Spartakiad will be held in 2025. I hope that it will be a start for future participants and winners of official international competitions," the head of the region noted.
Akmola region, having launched the Ski Racing challenge, passed the baton to Kostanay region. The governor of the region, in turn, passed the baton on to the North Kazakhstan region.
