Nine schools are planned to be built in Kostanay region in two years

The results of the past year were summed up by the Department of Education of Kostanay region with the participation of the head of the region.
There is something to be proud of and something to worry about. I am pleased with the achievements of the students. In 3 years, 90 children have become prize-winners of the Republican Olympiad of Schoolchildren, at the international level we have 17 prizes in prestigious international Olympiads and 35 places in international scientific competitions. There are also many sporting achievements. There are positive changes in the field of special education. Today, there are inclusion support rooms at 19 schools, in which about 170 children receive the necessary support with the help of teaching assistants, speech therapists and psychologists. Several more similar classrooms will start operating at rural schools this year.
The coverage of children with preschool education is growing. A kindergarten for 148 children will open in Arkalyk this year. The construction of two kindergartens for 280 places each in the microdistricts of the regional center "Airport" and "Yubileyny" continues. In addition, Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov suggested considering the possibility of buying out the first floors of buildings for private kindergartens in the MKRN. KSK and Jubilee. The cost of the purchase will be cheaper than building a new garden.
- Considerable funds are allocated for the material and technical equipment of schools. During the settlement, 9.8 billion tenge was spent for these purposes for three years," said Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov. - Work is also continuing on the modernization of rural schools. In three years, 245 schools have been modernized in the amount of 15 billion tenge. The salary of teachers has doubled since 2020 and amounted to 360 thousand tenge on average in the region. Thanks to the measures taken, a significant number of vacancies have been reduced.
According to the head of the regional department of education, Ayman Ibrayeva, the issue of shortage of student places in schools is also being resolved. For example, the construction of three schools for 1,980 places is being completed: two in Kostanay and in the village of Enbek of Kostanay district for 100 places. In general, 9 schools will be built in the region by 2025, of which 8 will be built within the framework of the Comfortable School project.
As for secondary vocational education, according to the observations of the director of the Zhitikarinsky Polytechnic College, Marat Ablaev, agricultural producers are poorly interested in targeted training. As part of the Roadmap for the development of the region's education system, this year it is necessary to increase the target training of personnel to 750 people. Colleges have asked for the assistance of local executive bodies.
