While on a working trip to Kostanay region, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov visited the Qostanai IT Hub at the A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University and held a meeting with representatives of creative youth.
Qostanai IT Hub is a representative office of Astana Hub Technopark in the capital. It was opened as part of the execution of the President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan. There is an IT center, a laboratory complex, a conference room, a coworking space, a game area and a number of other thematic sectors.
Educational programs for start-up startup projects and IT companies, as well as various incubation programs, hackathons and events are implemented on the basis of the Qostanai IT Hub.
During the meeting with the creative youth of the region, Alikhan Smailov noted that active work on the development of digital infrastructure continues in the republic. In particular, over the past 1.5 years, 12 regional IT hubs have been opened, and 7 more are planned to be launched this year.
«We have very talented young people. Such IT hubs are the centers of attraction for them. Conditions for self-realization and training in the field of innovative technologies are created here. As a result, new developments and useful projects appear. It is important that young people in all regions have such opportunities and support measures»,— The Prime Minister said.
The Head of Government was presented with the guys' own developments: a mobile application for students and schoolchildren, a multichat with artificial intelligence, projects in the fields of housing and communal services and agriculture.
Of particular interest was the project on automation of block-modular boiler houses, implemented in a number of settlements of the Kostanay region. The system saves fuel, labor resources and, most importantly, increases the safety of the heat source.
«This is especially important now, as we have begun to modernize the entire housing and communal services sector. Such technologies will significantly improve the situation in this area. It is necessary to scale such projects and implement them everywhere, especially in the Kostanay region there are already results», — The Prime Minister said.
During the meeting, topical issues of youth were also raised. In particular, regarding the provision of housing. The Prime Minister stressed that in addition to the existing housing programs implemented by the state, a new program for young people will be launched.
«We understand that there is such a need, because young people need their first housing. In this regard, we have developed the "9-20-25" program. We will launch it through Otbasy Bank, 150 billion tenge will be allocated for implementation. It is to improve the living conditions of young people. The program will work annually, about 8 thousand young families will be able to purchase housing on preferential terms every year», — said Alikhan Smailov.
