Today, a staff meeting was held in the regional akimat under the chairmanship of Akim of the region K.Aksakalov. The issues of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region were considered on the agenda.
To date, the epidemiological situation in the field of infectious and parasitic diseases is relatively favorable. No such diseases have been registered: like diphtheria, tetanus, rubella, mumps.
To date, there is concern about a sharp increase in the incidence of measles both in the region and throughout the Republic. Over the past period of December, cases of morbidity were registered 1.5 times more than in the entire month of November. Most of the cases are in Kostanay, Rudny and Kostanay districts. Isolated cases of measles are recorded in other regions of the region. Basically, the disease is registered in unvaccinated Kazakhstanis. Most of those infected are children under the age of 14.
In general, more than 21.0 thousand cases of morbidity have been registered in the country since the beginning of the year, Kostanay region does not account for even 1% (0.8%).
In order to reduce the incidence rate, additional mass vaccination against measles is being carried out in the region. Vaccinations are given to children aged six months to 5 years, medical workers. In total, 44,500 people are subject to additional mass vaccination. To date, only 14.7% of people who are subject to vaccination have been vaccinated.
Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov instructed the health department, together with the akimats of cities and districts, to strengthen work on measles vaccination, with daily monitoring.
The Department of Education, together with the Department of Health, will organize meetings with parents in kindergartens as soon as possible in order to clarify the need for measles vaccination. In addition, inform parents through parent chats.
Medical organizations inform the population on a daily basis through social networks and within the med. organizations about possible complications of measles.
The Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control should strengthen control over compliance with sanitary rules and regulations in public catering, trade, public utilities, etc.
These measures will ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population of Kostanay region.
