During the briefing, the Governor of the region reported on the current situation to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection and compliance with quarantine measures in the region.

Starting from April 28 this year, 4 stages of easing restrictive measures were introduced in Kostanay region.

Thus, a number of enterprises, financial sector organizations, hairdressers, non-food stores, markets, etc. have resumed their work.

As part of the 4th stage, since may 25 this year, work has continued on further easing of quarantine measures, subject to compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological regime.

However, as noted by Archimedes Mukhambetov, many residents of the region perceived the introduced easing as the abolition of the quarantine regime.

"There are numerous violations of restrictive measures on the part of both citizens and businesses.This position is unacceptable, since the threat to human life and health still persists. The coronavirus epidemic has not disappeared. The pandemic still threatens the health of our citizens," the Governor of the region said.

In Kostanay region, compliance with the quarantine regime is checked by 40 special monitoring groups consisting of employees of akimats, local police service, quality control and security departments of goods and services.

"More than 14 thousand inspections were carried out. At the same time, 267 violations of the quarantine regime were detected, and 274 fines were imposed on the guilty by the internal Affairs bodies, " Archimed Mukhambetov said.

At the end of his report, the Governor of the region called on the residents of the region to take seriously the observance of personal security measures.

"First of all, it is washing hands, wearing masks in public places, limiting communication in large companies and holding family celebrations," said Archimedes Mukhambetov.

"I want to draw the attention of residents of the region, as well as heads of enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership to the fact that we will continue to monitor compliance with quarantine measures. The decision on further easing of restrictions will be made not only based on the epidemiological situation, but first of all - with strict observance of the quarantine regime. In case of deterioration of epidemic.in this situation, a return to strict quarantine is possible, " the head of the region concluded.

Recall that to date, 131 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Kostanay region, 60 people have recovered.
